Katiria (Kat) Reyes is a Licensed Master Social Worker who received her Masters degree in Social Work from New York University. Kat has over 7 years of experience working in mental health and wellness, specifically with early childhood, adolescents, and clients affected by loss. Throughout her work, she has supported clients struggling with behavioral challenges, loss/grief, anxiety, and depression.
Kat has worked as an oncology social worker where she supports patients and their families who are navigating the challenges of cancer. Currently, she works in a school setting where she supports students who struggle with a multitude of emotional challenges. She is also well-versed in the Special Education process.
Kat’s style is eclectic and led by a strengths-based approach. She believes in meeting her clients where they are and likes to use creative methods to accomplish clinical goals. Katiria utilizes a variety of treatment modalities including art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
Katiria is supportive, empathetic, and compassionate by nature. She strives to develop a trusting and comfortable space where engagement feels effortless. Her goal as a therapist is to ensure that her clients feel safe, connected, and heard.
