"It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop"
-- Confucius
I'm Matt, and I'm dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges and transitions. My journey in mental health began at Indiana University Bloomington, where I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. I then spent two years in the Peace Corps combating suicide in Guyana through public health initiatives.
For the next decade, I focused on addressing educational inequality in New York City by opening new schools. This work is deeply personal to me, stemming from my own childhood experiences. In 2020, my family and I found our forever home in Rockland County.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, along with narrative and systems-based approaches. I believe in understanding your unique story and the larger systems that influence your life. Together, we can address anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
Outside of therapy, you'll find me hiking, reading, practicing meditation, and cherishing time with my two young children and our dog, Bailey.
I'm here to support you on your journey towards healing and growth. I look forward to discussing how we can work together.
