My name is Amber Mandel, LMSW. I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care that empowers individuals to feel understood, supported, and actively engaged in their journey of personal growth. I believe in working collaboratively to identify and build upon strengths. My therapeutic approach integrates techniques from evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, to help individuals navigate life’s challenges effectively.

“Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
- Christopher Robin
I earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, where I also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. My educational background has strengthened my holistic approach to care and deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection.
At Michigan Medicine’s Adult Psychiatry Inpatient Unit, I worked with individuals facing complex mental health challenges and provided education and support to their families. My experience in schools and community organizations, specifically with children and adolescents, has further strengthened my ability to support diverse populations, ensuring my approach is culturally responsive and aligned with each individual’s unique values and experiences.
Outside work, I enjoy trying new restaurants, watching sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
I am here to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and well-being, and I am excited to be a part of your process.
