Hello! Congratulations on taking a brave step towards your best self. My name is Tania and I am a compassionate and non-judgmental therapist whose goal is to collaborate with clients to create positive and sustainable changes in their lives, relationships and mental health wellness.  We all deserve to feel joy, connection and success and at times need support, encouragement and the right tools to do so. If we want to take better care of our emotional and mental health needs, therapy is a wonderful place to start.

In my experience as a therapist I have helped adults, teens, children, couples, and families with issues such as anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, relationship challenges and health concerns through a combination of self-exploration, skill-building and identifying strengths.  I have helped to process traumatic life experiences and have helped clients build confidence, self-esteem and identify and challenge negative behavioral habits.  Together we can find what works best for you and choose among the many different modalities to support your therapeutic goals such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT) Mindfulness-based practices & positive visualization, narrative therapy, creative exploration, and goal-focused therapy.

I’m a Bi-lingual English / Spanish therapist of Puerto Rican descent whose passion is to help others achieve their best life and most empowered sense of self. I was born and raised in NYC and obtained my Masters in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work and have continued my education with trainings at the Ackerman Institute for the Family and Gottman method for Couples Counseling.  In my own life I generate happiness and self-fulfillment through my work, practicing the tools I share in therapy (aka walking the talk), traveling and exploring new places, riding my bicycle and spending quality time with my loved ones.
